From OSHO - No Water No Moon There are many religions, many paths, many methods, but the essential point is the same: become one. Whatsoever you choose, become one. If you can be infinitely patient you will become one. If you can surrender totally you will become one. If you become completely silent you will become one. If there are no thoughts and you are in meditation you will become one. If you pray to God and the prayer becomes so intense that even the person who is doing it is no longer there, the person who is saying the prayer has become dissolved in the prayer, one has remained ‑ that will do. Digging in the garden, if you can dig in such a way, so totally absorbed that nobody is left there who is the digger ‑ you have become the digging, the actor has become the action, the observer has become the observation, the meditator has become the meditation ‑ suddenly all the waves of maya disappear, all illusions drop. You are raised to a different layer, a different plane of being. You have come to the one. When you are one, you reach the one. When you are many, you are in the world. The world is many and God is one. But to know that one you will first have to become one, otherwise you cannot know it. Only when you become like it will you be able to know it. From Kristi Jorde - A child of eternity If we care anything about truth, we cannot limit the universe solely to what we perceive with our five senses. The world is not as it appears. the far-out, the impossible, even the foolish, can be more real and more true than all the logical, measurable, reality-based beliefs our culture holds in such reverence. Anon We exist as pure consciousness and have created our own environment in which to experience ourselves. There is no limit to how we can manifest out of an infinite mind so our experience can become a very multi-dimensional activity. Our problem has been that we have identified too closely with our own vehicles - our own virtual reality - we have become hypnotised by this opportunity to excercise our own creativity. But we have been provided with a lifeline - our Higher Self - who remains beyond our illusion of being - separate and able to bridge the gap between our true spiritual self and our little, earthly personality self. We are like drops of water in the ocean - having our own consciousness - but no longer being aware of the ocean around us and no longer feeling part of it.Rather than experience everything around us we insist on choosing which part of the ocean we think is good and which part bad, which beach to go to rather than flowing with the ocean wherever it takes us.Within or without our bodies we are always in consciousness. What we choose to be conscious of limits how we perceive that which is around us. We have limited ourselves by choosing to give our meaning to the virtual reality that plays before us. 3
